Overview
The EventStream Social Network provides a platform that attendees can use to share their own experiences at the event. They can post photos, videos, and comments in real time, allowing them to network digitally with fellow attendees. Apart from posting, attendees can use the Attendee App to scroll through the EventStream wall to stay up to date with what is going on at the event.
This is an extremely useful tool, especially with hybrid events becoming more and more common.
The entire experience can be managed by the organizers with the use of different tools. The EventStream Manager allows you to add advertising, moderate posts, retweet Tweets, and enable leader boards. The Organizer App also allows you to moderate posts and post as the organizer.
Other very useful apps to install are:
- The EventStream Album App
- The EventStream Wall App
The tools related to EventStream provide the opportunity to manage this experience holistically, and provide event attendees with the best networking platform.
2B.3.1.1 Setting Up EventStream Social Network
EventStream is all about letting your attendees connect and engage with each other within your own private social network. They can post images, videos and thoughts and share them with each other in a scrolling live feed of social interactions.
Attendees can see this stream on their Attendee Apps or in a projected EventStream Wall that shows all social posts along with sponsor advertising and upcoming agenda notifications.
In the video lesson below, you'll learn how to configure the settings you need in the EventStream Manager, which is in the Communications panel.
2B.3.2.1 Adding EventStream to the Attendee App
Including the EventStream component into the Attendee App is how you give attendees access to EventStream. It's pretty straightforward - just drag and drop the EventStream component in the builder.
You can then configure extra settings such as colors and whether or not attendees can post photos.
Watch the video below for a demonstration:
2B.3.3.1 Setting Up the EventStream Wall App
The EventStream Wall App is the tool you use to project or display all EventStream activity, such as attendees' posts and comments, organizers' posts and tags, session announcements, advertising, and any automated posts, including retweets. It's a great feature to use during meal breaks and social functions because you can display or project the EventStream Wall on a giant screen at your venue to create a fully engaging atmosphere.
The info panel shows all the sessions that are currently live, and those that are coming up next. There are also three extra panels you can customize for sponsorship or announcements.

2B.3.4.1 Adding EventStream to the Organizer App
EventStream in the Organizer App is very similar to EventStream in the Attendee App. The main difference is that staff and event organizers can edit or delete posts.
The EventStream Reporter component also allows your onsite management team to add posts and hashtags during the event.

2B.3.5.1 Setting Up the EventStream Album App
The EventStream Album is an automated tool that lets you choose an audio track and images from your EventStream posts to automatically generate a memorable slide show at the close of your event.
You can display this live during a Closing Session or at the last function of your event, and you can also share it with attendees after the event concludes.
Instead of choosing images, you can opt to use the most liked photos if you prefer.
