2B. 4 EventStream Engage overview
EventStream Engage is a comprehensive gamification platform where you can create friendly competition to achieve goals or badges, and earn points to win prizes or exchange for items and merchandise.
This encourages your attendees to participate, network, and get involved in live events (whether in-person or via remote attendance), because you create the goals based on actions and participation you want from your attendees. You'll be able to measure this engagement using the powerful Analytics App.
Gamification is quite extensive, but you can make it very simple too. EventsAir helps you with a library of suggested goals, badges, and prizes to give you some ideas and to get you started.
2B.4.1.1 EventStream Engage Goals
Goals are the heart of EventStream Engage. They are the specific tasks you define, based on what you want your attendees to accomplish. They are tied to specific objectives, such as joining a session, checking in with an exhibitor, answering a trivia question, and more.
Goals also allow attendees to earn points, which can translate to tickets for a prize draw or coins to redeem for an item. You can also link goals to a badge, a fun visual way to represent completion of a goal or goals.
EventsAir offers many different types of goals, with some specific to live events and others to virtual events. We also provide a Goal Library with many ideas to get you started. This library includes important settings such as goal types, points, and personal limits, but you can always modify these settings based on your preferences.
Learn all about it by watching the video below.
2B.4.2.1 Badges and Prizes in EventStream Engage
Planning out your goals, badges, and prizes ahead of time helps ensure your attendees have a positive experience.
βBadges are a visual recognition of an attendee's engagement efforts. It's not necessary to create badges; however, they can be a fun and entertaining addition to any event. Badges are usually tied to achieving a goal multiple times. For example, "make three connections" [with another attendee or exhibitor] "to get your Super-Connector Badge". You can also give badges for things like answering all trivia questions correctly, completing a location challenge, or responding to all Live Polls. Badges for one time goals, such as uploading a profile photo, are also possible.
β
βPrizes can be given for accomplishing goals and earning points. Prizes can be given away in a lottery-style prize draw, and/or 'purchased' with 'conference coins', using either or both of the methods below:
Prize Draws - Attendees' points are translated into a certain number of prize draw tickets (you decide on the points-per-ticket value). These tickets are then automatically included in any prize draws you do using the EventStream Engage Analytics App. The more points an attendee has, the more tickets they get, and the higher their chances of winning a prize.
Coin Redemptions - Attendees' points are translated into coins that can be used to purchase items or merchandise, such as a conference t-shirt, food items, etc. The more points an attendee has, the more items they can purchase. Attendees get 1 coin for every 10 points and this cannot be changed; however, you can define how many coins attendees need to redeem for each prize.

2B.4.3.1 Add EventStream Engage to the Attendee App
You can add EventStream Engage to the Attendee App just by dropping it in using the app builder, and making any required changes to the settings. Attendees will see the EventStream Engage component under the label "Win Points" (unless you change the label), with four different tabs: Points, Goals, Badges, and Prizes.
They can:
- See all their current points, badges, tickets and coins
- See who's currently 'winning' on the Engage Leader Board
- Look at all available goals (many of which are completed via the app, such as Trivia Questions)
- See badges and information on how to obtain them
- Review all available prizes (whether these are part of prize draws or coin redemptions).

2B.4.4.1 EventStream Engage in the Organizer App
EventStream Engage can be managed in the Organizer App through the Engage Points component. Organizers and event staff can see how many points an attendee has, award points to anyone, and even take points away using the Custom option.
To add this component to the Organizer App, drag and drop it into the Organizer App builder and change any settings you want to (which may include the heading of the component, its icon and colors).
Watch the video below to find out more.
2B.4.5.1 The EventStream Leader Board App
The Leader Board app offers a great way to display/project onto a screen the live results of your attendee engagement and who's 'leading the field' in each area. You can show the following leader boards:
- EventStream Contributors
- EventStream Mentions
- EventStream Tags
- EventStream Commenters
- EventStream Engage Points
Each category will display both the Overall leaders and Today's leaders.
Learn how to set this up by watching the video below.
2B.4.6.1 The EventStream Engage Redemption App
Any time an attendee earns points, they're also automatically allocated 'coins' that can be redeemed for prizes.
The EventStream Engage Redemption App is a great tool that allows organizers to manage the 'purchase' of items in return for 'coins'. An attendee can approach the redemption stand at the event, and either have their badge scanned or ask the organizing team to do a search in the redemption app.
Within a couple of seconds, they can be informed of which prizes they can redeem with the number of coins they've accumulated.
The app helps ensure the redemption process including prize inventory is well-managed.
