Updated this week

THESE ARE ALL ARCHIVED MATERIALS AND WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE FOR A LIMITED TIME. THE ORIGINAL EXERCISES ARE NOT INCLUDED HERE.

To access the new EventsAir Academy, please use the "Learn" button at the top right of EventsAir.

NOTE: These videos were recorded prior to Version 16, so EventsAir looks a little different. The navigation bar is now on the left-hand side (instead of along the bottom of the screen).

Whether you're conducting a pre- or post-conference survey or even surveying during a session, asking the right questions, collecting the responses, and communicating the results helps you tell fascinating stories with data!

The survey tools in EventsAir encompass a wide range of survey options, including standard surveys, session surveys and questions used for Live Polling.

This topic will cover the essential steps and knowledge you need to build and deploy surveys for all formats and uses.

2B.9.1.1 Creating a Survey Questions Library

Since surveys are made up of questions, you may find that you want to use a survey question more than once.

EventsAir uses a survey question library that you can use to build your survey questions and deploy them for general surveys, session surveys and poll questions (used with the Live Poll App).

Survey questions can be structured as radio buttons, check boxes, drop-down lists, text fields and much more. You have a wide range of question options that you are able to define and use as needed.

Learn how build a survey question library by watching the video below:

2B.9.2.1 Building and Publishing Your Survey

Once you've built your library of survey questions, you can build a general or session survey.

The survey builder tool uses the familiar drag-and-drop format, and you can quickly build and publish surveys from the simple to the complex, based on your requirements.

See how it all works by watching the video below:

2B.9.3.1 Creating a Session Survey

Session Surveys are simple 2-3 question surveys that help you gather crucial feedback for specific presenters, session topics and more. They can really help you identify what works and what doesn't, so you can improve your events.

While you can create different surveys for different sessions, many event planners take advantage of EventsAir's session survey option to create a standard default survey and apply it to multiple sessions.

2B.9.4.1 Sending Out Survey Invitations

To give attendees access to complete your surveys, you can easily create a Merge Doc invitation.

These invitations can (and usually should) include an auto login token link so that each attendee can open a survey with their details pre-filled, which will store their responses on to their contact record.

See how it's done by watching the video below:

2B.9.5.1 Viewing Survey Results

EventsAir's powerful survey manager tool gives you access to survey data in many different formats.

You can see details about respondents as well as all response data. You can also generate graphs of survey responses and export response data to Excel for further analysis if your organization requires this.

You can also look at an individual attendee's survey responses directly within their contact record.
