This can happen because the file size (of the image) is too large. Incorrect file sizes can also cause sites and apps to load very slowly.
Below is a list of recommended image file sizes. You can also read more about editing and resizing images and file sizes in this article.
NOTE: The image sizes below may also vary depending on what device is being used to view the site, app, etc. In almost all cases, JPGs (and sometimes PNG files) are the only supported formats (not GIFs).
Images for mobile apps (Attendee App & Organizer App) and for Event Website (Modern builder) are uploaded directly when creating or editing.
The default images listed below, e.g. headers/footers, for emails, interactive sites or apps & portals (EventsAir app store) are set via a Brand (setup panel). You can create multiple brands in your event and select the one you need for the app/portal/site/merge doc you're creating.
Contact photo images are usually uploaded directly by attendees. Hotel and hotel room images are uploaded either by the hotel, in the Hotel Portal, or by you or your team in the Hotels & Suppliers Library (Application Setup); and/or in the Accommodation hotel & hotel room type setup in your event.
If your image appears with a black background that you don't want, it could be because it's a PNG with transparency (which is not supported in some cases). Convert the image to a JPG file and re-upload to fix this issue.
