How Can I Report on Custom Fields?

You can use Custom Fields in Event Temple to track additional information unique to your organization. These fields can be included in reports or used as filters—depending on their type and where they were created.

Filtering by Custom Fields

You can use the Add Filter option to filter Lists and Reports by certain types of Custom Fields.

Supported Field Types for Filtering:

  • ✅ Checkbox

  • ✅ Picklist

  • ✅ Date

Important Notes:

  • Custom Fields can only be filtered on the list type they belong to.

    • Example: A Booking Custom Field can only be filtered on the Booking List.

  • You cannot filter by these field types:

    • ❌ Text (Single Line or Multi-Line)

    • ❌ Number

    • ❌ HTML

    • ❌ Currency


Viewing Custom Fields in Columns

When filters are not available due to the Custom Field type, you can still display the data using customized columns.

  1. Open the relevant List (e.g. Bookings, Contacts, or Accounts).

  2. Click the Columns icon (☰) in the top-right corner of the list.

  3. Locate your Custom Field and check the box beside it.

  4. Click Apply to add it to your view.

Your selected Custom Field will now appear as a visible column in your report or list.


Exporting Custom Field Data

To include Custom Field data in an export:

  1. Ensure your Custom Fields are visible as columns.

  2. Click Export → CSV.

  3. The downloaded file will include all displayed Custom Field data.
