Contacts cannot be archived in Event Temple because organizations often need past contact data for reporting, marketing, or future bookings. You can delete a contact (irreversibly), for example if it’s a duplicate.
⚠️ Important: Deletion is permanent; consider using an identifier if you want to preserve the record for reporting purposes.
If you do not wish to delete a contact, you can use an identifier in the contact name to mark it as inactive, such as:
DEFUNCT - John DoeOld Contact - Jane SmithDo Not Use - Marketing Lead
How to Delete a Contact
From the Contacts List:
Select the checkbox next to the contact(s) you want to delete.
Click Batch Action > Delete.
Type in 'delete' to confirm.
Click Delete and the Contact will be permanently deleted.
Note: You cannot delete a contact if they are the Main Contact for any Lead or Booking. Change the Main Contact first.
Alternatively:
Search for the contact in the list.
Click the arrow drop-down on the right.
Type in 'delete' to confirm.
Click Delete and the Contact will be permanently deleted.
