Conversion is calculated by the number of inquiries, divided by the number of definite Bookings (eg 100 inquiries & 25 definite Bookings, you have 25% conversion).
Use the formula for conversion rate calculation: Conversion Rate = (Definite Bookings ÷ Total Inquiries) × 100.
Event Temple provides various reporting tools, including The Booking List Report, to analyze sales performance and easily calculate conversion rates.
Step One - Number of Inquiries
Looking at the Booking List report
Select your Inquiry Date
Select your Group By Option (eg User)
Click Export As
Select HTML
Click Include Summary
Click Export
Click "Click here to download the file"
Your report will be exported with the total number of Bookings for each Grouping.
Step Two - Number of Definite Bookings
This can be done by calculating the definite Bookings in the above list, or by adding a further filter:
Keep the previous filters as they were
Add Booking Status is a Definite filter
Take note of the total number of Definite Bookings
Step Three - Calculate your Conversion
You now have your Number of Inquiries & your definite bookings. Simply divide your definite Bookings by your inquiries & you have your conversion!
You can also use the formula explicitly: Conversion Rate = (Definite Bookings ÷ Total Inquiries) × 100.
