1. Can I trade during news events with Evercrest Funding?
Yes. Trading during news events is permitted on Evercrest Funding accounts. Engaging in news trading does not constitute a hard breach.
2. Are there any limitations on profits made during high-impact news events?
Yes.
The following limitation applies:
Any trades that are opened or closed (manually or automatically, including stop loss, take profit, or pending orders) within 5 minutes before or after a high-impact news release may generate a maximum profit of 1% of the account’s initial balance during that period.
This is identified by a red-impact indicator on ForexFactory.com or Myfxbook.com. An event only needs to be classified as high-impact on one of these two calendars for the limitation to apply.
3. Does this rule apply to both the challenge and funded phases?
No. This policy only applies too the funded phase of Evercrest accounts.
4. What happens if profits exceed the 1% limit during these periods?
If the total profits generated during the restricted news window exceed 1% of the initial account balance, the total amount from those trades will be removed & the accounts profit split will be reduced to 50% for the remaining lifespan of that account. Any applicable deduction is typically applied during routine account reviews.
5. Which high-impact news events apply to my trades?
The high-impact news rule applies differently depending on the instrument being traded:
Forex: Only high-impact news relating to a currency within the pair being traded will apply.
Example: EUR and USD news applies to EURUSD, while GBP news does not.Commodities: All high-impact news events apply, regardless of the currency associated with the event.
Indices: All high-impact news events apply, regardless of the currency associated with the event.
Cryptocurrencies: Only high-impact USD news events apply.
High-impact events are identified using the approved news calendars outlined in our News Trading Rules.
