Congratulations on adding your products and updating their general information on our marketplace! Now, it's essential to ensure that each product variant is complete and accurately represented. In this article, we will walk you through the steps to achieve this:
1. Managing Variant Titles
Under the "Variants" section on the product detail page, you can manage the titles for all supported languages. It's most logical to enter information that varies for the product, such as the height and pot size for plants.
2. Adding Variant Descriptions
Provide an informative description for each variant in all supported languages. This section allows you to share details about the product's appearance, origin, and other relevant information.
3. SKU and EAN (Barcode)
Fill in a unique SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) that you can recognize internally as the supplier. You may also add an EAN (barcode) for the retailer's convenience, though it is not mandatory.
4. Pricing and Taxes
Enter the purchase price (optional for internal use), and the selling price for retailers, which includes any margin but excludes handling and packaging costs (if set separately). Select the correct VAT type (e.g., low for plants, high for pots). You can also choose to offer a discount, either as a percentage or a fixed amount over the purchase price.
5. Specifications
Optionally, provide dimensions such as length, width, and height, as well as pot size if applicable. You can also fill in variant-specific specifications for all supported languages.
6. Images
Add images that will be visible to retailers on the marketplace. It's essential to have at least one photo per variant, but we recommend a minimum of five images for better content. The first images should have a white background.
7. Dropshipping and Delivery
Toggle on dropshipping if you wish to offer it to retailers for this variant. Select the delivery time for the variant, and if mix & match is possible, you can enable it here. Click on the buttons below to learn more about setting delivery time's and information about how mix & match works.
8. Handling, Packaging & recommended retail price
Set the handling and packaging for the variant. The total purchase price for the retailer will be calculated based on the previously entered purchase price, handling price, and packaging price. You can also specify the recommended retail price, either manually or automatically using a multiplier over the purchase price, and choose rounding options.
9. Inventory Settings
Choose whether you want to track inventory for the variant (yes or no). If you select yes, each order will deduct one unit from the inventory. You can also enable "Available for purchase when out of stock" to continue selling the product even when it's temporarily out of stock. Moreover it is important to: specify the actual quantity in stock, and set notifications for low stock levels.
10. Advanced Settings
In the advanced settings, you can set an internal name for internal use and add tags to the product for better categorization and searchability.
By following these steps, you can complete each product variant with accurate and relevant information. Having comprehensive product details ensures a seamless experience for retailers and consumers, leading to increased sales and better engagement.
