Categories

Categories are not automatically transferred when you connect Everspring to your WooCommerce or Shopify shop. However, it is highly recommended to maintain a clear category structure on your webshop. This helps your customers easily find products and improves the overall user experience.

Manually Creating Categories

You can manually create categories in your webshop. Here’s how you can do it:

For WooCommerce:

  1. Login to your WordPress Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Products > Categories.

  3. Add a new category by filling in the necessary details such as Name, Slug, Parent Category (if any), and Description.

  4. Click on 'Add New Category' to save your changes.

For Shopify:

  1. Login to your Shopify Admin.

  2. Go to Products > Collections.

  3. Click on 'Create collection'.

  4. Enter the Collection details including Title, Description, and Conditions.

  5. Click 'Save' to create the collection.

Using ChatGPT to Create Categories

You can also use ChatGPT to assist you in creating categories. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how you can do this:

  1. Identify the main product types available on Everspring.

  2. Ask ChatGPT to suggest category names and structures based on these products.

For example:

- Main Categories:
- Plants
- Flowers
- Home Decor
- Subcategories under Plants:
- Indoor Plants
- Outdoor Plants
- Succulents
- Subcategories under Flowers:
- Fresh Flowers
- Dried Flowers
- Bouquets
- Subcategories under Home Decor:
- Vases
- Planters
- Decorative Items
