If your project isn’t saving correctly in **Examply**, don’t worry — this guide will walk you through common causes and quick fixes to get things working again.

---

## ⚙️ Step 1: Confirm Auto-Save Settings

By default, projects in Examply auto-save every few seconds. If you’ve disabled auto-save, manual saving may be required.

**To check this:**

1. Click your **profile icon → Settings → General.**

2. Ensure **Auto-Save Projects** is turned **ON.**

3. If you prefer manual saves, make sure you’re clicking **Save Project** before exiting.

---

## 🗂️ Step 2: Make Sure You Have Edit Permissions

If you’re a **viewer** or **guest**, you may not have permission to make changes.

**Check your role:**

- Open the project.

- Click **Project Settings → Members.**

- Ensure your role is **Editor** or **Admin.**

If you don’t have the right permissions, contact your project admin for access.

---

## 💾 Step 3: Clear Browser Cache or App Data

Sometimes, local data can interfere with syncing.

**Try these fixes:**

- **Web:** Clear your browser cache and cookies, then log back in.

- **Desktop app:** Log out → Quit the app → Reopen and log in again.

- **Mobile app:** Go to your phone’s settings → clear Examply’s app storage → reopen the app.

---

## 🔁 Step 4: Check Sync Status

If you’re using Examply across multiple devices, make sure all your devices are synced.

**In the app:**

- Go to **Settings → Sync Status.**

- Look for any unsynced projects or errors.

- Click **Retry Sync** to manually push your changes to the cloud.

---

## 🧩 Step 5: Disable Browser Extensions or Ad Blockers

Some browser extensions can interfere with Examply’s saving process.

Try disabling extensions one by one, especially:

- Ad blockers

- Script blockers

- Privacy extensions

Then reload Examply and try saving your project again.

---

## 🧱 Step 6: Check for Account or Plan Limits

If you’re on the **Free Plan**, you can only have up to **3 active projects**. Once you reach that limit, new projects won’t save.

**Solutions:**

- Archive or delete an old project.

- Upgrade to **Examply Plus (Paid)** for unlimited projects.
