Inline Choice/Entry

Inline choice/entry is a prompt, followed by text with one or more gaps. Gaps are where a student provides their answer using the entry type of the gap. Each gap can only use a single entry type, but a single question with multiple gaps can have multiple entry types. Inline choice/entry questions support automatic scoring.

Inline Choice

Inline choice allows one or more options to appear in a dropdown menu where the gap is in the inline text.

When delivered to a student, they may only select one option from the dropdown to submit as their response.

Text Entry

Text entry allows one or more correct options to be compared to a student’s response for automatic scoring.

When delivered to a student, they have a text area to author a response.

Math Entry

Math entry allows one or more correct options to be compared to a student’s response for automatic scoring using the elementary or secondary math input.

When delivered to a student, the gap displays an elementary or secondary math input to author their response. Only numbers and symbols on the input can be entered.
