Use tags or product type to make dynamic collections

Updated over a week ago

Shopify has great built-in organizational tools. You can use tags or product types to make collections to organize Experiences and display them in your navigation or anywhere your theme allows display by collections.

We don't automatically create an Experiences landing page. We leave it up to you to add the Experiences to your site in a way that works best for you.

Organize using Shopify Tags or Product Type

  1. Create your Experience(s) in our app

  2. Find the same Experiences in the Product > Experience Name section of the Shopify admin (e.g youstore.myshopify.com/admin/products)

  3. Add a tag or product type that you'll use to create a menu item

  4. Go to Online Store > Navigation > Main Menu and create a Collection by filtering with tags. (e.g youstore.myshopify.com/admin/collections)

  5. Choose whatever tags or product type you have created to apply to the Category you want to make.

Add to the navigation or your site

Once you have created the category, you can add it to your site's navigation.

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Navigation.

  2. On the Navigation page, click the title of the menu that you want to edit.

  3. Click Add menu item.

  4. Enter a title for the menu item. This title displays in the menu and can include special characters or emoji.

  5. Click the Link field, and then select a link type of Collections

  6. Choose to create the Collection by tag or by product type

  7. Click the Save menu.
