Step 1: Request a Consumer Key and Secret to connect the two systems
PLEASE NOTE: You will need to contact your institution’s Canvas Administrator in order to initiate this process.
In order for Canvas and Extempore to be able to communicate, the first step is for your institution to request a Consumer Key and Secret. Extempore will generate these two codes and your institution’s Canvas Admin will input them into the system.
How does my Canvas Admin request a Consumer Key and Secret to integrate Canvas and Extempore?

I have the Consumer Key and Secret. What do I do now?
Step 1: Enter the Extempore Consumer Key into Canvas in order to connect both system.
Within your Canvas course, go to Settings, then select the “Apps” tab, then click on “View App Configurations”
Step 2: Click on “+App” to Connect Extempore
Step 3: Select “By URL” from the top dropdown
Step 5: Enter the the Consumer Key and Shared Secret emailed to you by Extempore Support.
The Config URL is: https://cms.extemporeapp.com/lti/canvas/config.xml
Step 6: Click submit.
You have now connected Extempore to the Canvas System.
