Promotion Email
The promotion email is how you announce your Sweepstakes program to your customers. When they click on "Enter Sweepstakes", they'll be brought to the promote destination you've set -- this is typically an Extole-hosted microsite at refer.companyname.com. In this email, you'll want to explain why you're running a Sweepstakes program and what the entrants have a chance of winning.
Tagless Microsite or Sweepstakes Experience
By default, all your promotion links in your program are set to direct to an Extole-hosted, no-dev-required microsite. This is where the consumers enters information about themselves. You can ask any number of questions about the nominee -- from their name and email to their phone number and postal code, these fields should represent all the information you need to select and communicate with a winner.
If you're not using an Extole-hosted microsite, you'll put whatever external URL you want promote links to go to in "Destination for Clicks on Promotions" in the "Promote Destination" creative, and put `sweepstakes_experience` in "Extole-Hosted Experience to Trigger on URL Landing". This will ensure that anyone who clicks on a link that promotes the Sweepstakes program is taken to the URL you specify and that the sweepstakes experience pops on their screen.
In this creative, make sure to call out the different ways that consumers can earn entries into the Sweepstakes. By default, I earn an entry if I enter (1), if I refer you and you enter (2), and if you convert (3). If I refer you and you enter, you earn an entry (1), but you do not earn an entry for converting. That said, how entries are earned is totally configurable -- just ask your CSM!
Share Email
After Consumer A enters the Sweepstakes, they have the opportunity to share it with their friends. If Consumer A's referred friend enters the sweepstakes, Consumer A earns another entry. If Consumer A's referred friend makes a purchase, that counts as an additional entry for the Consumer A.
Welcome Email
After a consumer shares the Sweepstakes with their friend, they'll receive a welcome email thanking them for engaging with the brand. In this email, you should encourage them to continue sharing with their friends to continue earning entries.
