One of the more understandable concerns we get from pharmacies is with their ability to hit each individual shipping minimum when purchasing from a variety of wholesalers on EzriRx.com. Luckily, we have the answers.

The problem: While your savings are great, you now have to complete a cart with unnecessary products in them in order to meet the free shipping minimum set by the wholesaler.

The solution: EzriRx has innovated in this area to help make this a problem of the past. Read about our location-based delivery options:

Location-based delivery options

Based on the location of your pharmacy and the wholesaler you're purchasing, shipping times vary for basic ground shipping, so a Ground shipment can essentially get to you next day, yet wholesalers always have a flat price for "free" Overnight shipping, when a package does not always have to be shipped "Overnight" to get to you by the next day. In this case, pharmacies can opt for Ground shipping and use the Standard shipping minimum, which is always lower than Express.

EzriRx calculates the distance from your pharmacy to the location of the wholesaler, and give you an estimate on you when the package should reach your door based on each shipping method. If "Standard" will get to you next day, you will be defaulted to only needing to hit the Standard shipping minimum and fee, thus making it dramatically easier to hit your minimum.

Where can I see a wholesaler's shipping information such as minimums?

You can see the shipping information under the "View shipping info" link below the name of any wholesaler across the site, specifically on the product page and on the checkout page. When this link is clicked, a popup will appear containing this information, as illustrated in the image above.

TIPS

  1. When searching for products on the site, try to keep the amount of wholesalers you are picking products from at a minimum. You will find that even if you miss out on an individual deal, you will see be saving money by batching carts.

  2. Try to stay ahead of your inventory levels by forecasting what you will need in the future. If you know you dispense products monthly, add it to your cart before you start shopping for the day, so that you have greater chance of hitting minimums.

  3. Make an offer on a more expensive product to match a wholesaler with a lower price. If you see a wholesaler you're almost at a minimum, but need a few extra dollars, review your cart and see if you can move it from another wholesaler. Learn more about Offers here.

  4. Keep track of the lower minimum wholesalers and where they are located geographically in relation to your pharmacy. By keeping a short list, you can know to only purchase from wholesalers that have optimal shipping minimums.
