The Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA), was enacted by Congress on November 27, 2013 to identify and trace certain prescription drugs as they are distributed in the United States

This law made it mandatory for all wholesalers to create a Pedigree document which states the origin of the products being sold and create a copy for the pharmacy to review and keep on record in case of an audit by the FDA.

This document is known as a Pedigree document and has 3 T's on it.

This document has to be signed and available upon request from the pharmacy.

On EzriRx, you can request Pedigree for each item on an order. By clicking into an order screen, you will see a blue 'Request Pedigree' button near the item listed. Wholesalers will then be notified or your request and will uploaded a document for the respective item.

You can have this process done automatically for each order, by going into settings and selecting the 'Preferences' tab. Click on "Send pedigree requests automatically" and press save. Wholesalers will now receive a notification right after an order is placed to upload the documents required.

All Pedigree documents will be available for you to review, download and print on the 'Documents' page on the site.
