Welcome to Faber Work! Now, we are sure you must have several questions.

Your first question may be - How does Faber Work work?

  1. Creating Your Profile
This is where you showcase your trade experience, tools & certificates, availability, and workable radius.

  2. Completing Your Profile
Adding a Profile Picture, Bio, References, Direct Deposit information, Social Insurance Number (Canada) or Social Security Number & W-9 (United States).

Your SIN or SSN & W-9 is required to ensure you are legally allowed to work in Canada or the United States. Once entered, it is secured & encrypted.

  3. Matching To Jobs
Your profile will match to jobs based on your trade experience, tools & certificates, availability, and workable radius.

  4. Getting Verified
Before you can start working, we will need to verify your profile. Please complete our Get Verified questionnaire (shared with you in Support) & add References for any trades that you have added 2 years or above in.

  5. Applying To Jobs
Before applying for a job, make sure that you are available for the entire job duration (from the start date to end date), can arrive at the site address 10 to 15 minutes before the start time, have the required tools & certificates, and are comfortable with the job description

  6. Pending Jobs
Once you apply for a job, the client will be notified to review your application and the job you applied to will be listed as 'Pending' at the bottom of your 'Jobs' section.

  7. Selected To Work
Once you are selected, you are notified and asked to reconfirm your availability. Still available? Click 'Confirm & View Job Details'. No longer available? Click 'No longer available'.

If you click 'Confirm & View Job Details', you will now be able to see the exact address of the site, as well as the supervisor's phone number. We recommend checking your transit or vehicle route to the exact address to ensure you can arrive on time.

  8. Arriving Onsite
Ask to be directed to your listed supervisor, be sure to mention the company name. You must check-in with your listed supervisor every day. They are responsible for you onsite and need to know when you arrive and leave.

If you have any issues finding your listed supervisor, we recommend calling and texting them and contacting us in the Support channel for assistance.

  9. Logging Your Hours
It's best to log your hours daily after completing your shift.

  10. Ratings
Once you have completed a job, both you and the supervisor can rate one another with either a thumbs up or thumbs down.

How to receive a positive rating? Attend every shift, arrive on-time, have a positive attitude, be willing to work, don't stand around. The more positive ratings you have, the greater chance you have at being selected for the jobs you apply for!

  11. Getting Paid
Payday is every Thursday for the hours you worked the previous week running from Monday to Sunday.

To ensure you are paid for the correct hours, it is best to check-in and out with your listed supervisor each day, and to log your hours daily after completing your shift. The payment method is direct deposit. Make sure to add your Direct Deposit information to your profile and that the bank account is listed in your name.
