When you use Factofly to manage your freelance tasks, you are hired as a project employee for the duration of the work period. This means that we act as your employer during the project period and thus have a responsibility to ensure that you receive fair compensation for your work, reflecting the market rate for similar tasks. As your employer, we also handle the necessary insurance, meaning that these costs are included in the overall hourly rate.

To ensure a fair and responsible pay structure, we have set a minimum hourly rate of 200 DKK (ex. VAT) per hour. This rate is based on:

  • Competitive compensation – It’s important to us that the wage you receive is competitive and aligns with the standard for similar tasks in the market.

This minimum rate is an important factor to consider when setting your pricing as a freelancer. For tasks with specific requirements or expertise, you are, of course, welcome to charge a higher hourly rate to reflect your skill level and the value you provide to the client.

How to Set Your Rates as a Freelancer

When pricing your freelance work, it’s worth considering both your experience and the value you bring to the client. Factofly’s minimum rate of 200 DKK per hour (ex. VAT) ensures you a basic wage, including insurance coverage. However, for more specialized tasks or cases where you bring specific expertise, you can often justify a higher rate.

Consider the following when setting your price:

  • Your experience and expertise – The more specialized your knowledge, the higher you can set your rate.

  • The value you provide to the client – A project that increases the client’s revenue or efficiency can support a higher price.

  • Any additional costs – If the task requires special equipment or extra research, this can also affect the price.
