FairArt is a marketplace where Buyers can make anonymous offers on a wide variety of artworks, books, collectibles and merchandise based both on the item's current valuation on the site, and also how much you're willing to pay for it. FairArt’s anonymous nature aims to make buying a hassle-free experience: Buyers see the lowest available sale price (as well as all other active list prices for a specific item).

Since both Buyers and Sellers can set their respective offers, a sale on FairArt doesn’t begin until a Seller and a Buyer agree on a price through a Seller’s listing matching a Buyer’s bid price (or vice versa).

As a Buyer, you have two ways to match with a Seller on FairArt - you can either: “Buy Now” or “Bid” on your desired item.

Buy now: If an item has at least 1 active listing, you can decide to buy it immediately by selecting ‘Buy now’. The price you will be purchasing at is the current Lowest available list price.

Bid: If there are no active listings, or you decide the Lowest list is too high, you can instead submit a bid at a price of your choice (if you have the Highest Bid, a seller who places a List that matches yours will automatically sell to you).
