If a buyer outbids you, your Bid will be less likely to be accepted by a seller (you go down the pecking order). Your Bid however will continue to be active and may still be successful once other higher bids have resulted in a purchase (as the bids with a higher value than yours are accepted, you go back up the pecking order). Of course, if you choose to increase the value of your Bid, it will be more likely to lead to a purchase.
