To list an item for sale or to offer to purchase an item, you must create an account and have a valid payment method on file with our third-party payment processor - Stripe. These details are encrypted by Stripe and subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the 'Stripe Services Agreement’).

Sellers are required to provide payment details during the listing process in order to ensure that items on FairArt are authentic and to protect buyers from fraudulent selling activities - without such policies in place it would not be possible to hold sellers to account. This preventative measure is the standard with online marketplaces, and in place to prevent interference with the free and fair operation of the FairArt marketplace.
