How do I handle profile clicks, catalogue downloads & requests?

Often, many people think that only a request can lead to a deal - on the other hand, a request does not always mean a binding purchase.

There are different signs you can get if a potential customer is interested in your products.

The most important information can be found in your statistics. You can access them by logging in to your profile and clicking on "Dashboard" in the menu bar at the top.

In your statistics on your dashboard, you can see the activities on your profile very well and which store is already interested in it. There are 4 different categories to help you:

  1. Interactions:
An interaction occurs when a store owner views your advertisement post for over 7 seconds or clicks on your images.
At a trade show, this could mean that someone walks by your booth and their eyes linger on it. Something seems to interest him/her.

  2. Profile clicks:
Profile clicks are registered when a store owner deliberately clicks on your profile to take a closer look. This is where initial interest arises.
If you compare this activity with a trade fair, it would mean that someone stops at your stand to take a closer look.

  3. Catalogue downloads:
Since store owners can download your product catalogue, this activity is shown to you here. In this case, the store owner's interest is already quite high
At the trade fair, someone would ask to take information material from you because he/she shows a clear interest in your products and possible cooperation.

  4. Requests:
A store owner inquires about one of your products or your brand, either to get more information or to place an order.
At your booth, after a detailed conversation, you would most likely stay in contact - either to send more detailed information or to process the order.

But what do I do when someone shows interest?

Let's start with the requests: here it is relatively easy to make contact since you have already a base. All you have to do now is respond accordingly - in most cases, store owners first ask for conditions, price lists, or small product samples. Now it's up to you to answer quickly and show motivation!

It is important for you to know that you are now changing the medium: You received the request via FAIRLING, but you are replying by e-mail. However, this e-mail will arrive in your contact's normal mailbox, which is why your e-mail can quickly get lost. So feel free to write again a few days later or arrange to talk on the phone - that's even more personal.

But it's not only through inquiries that you can establish contact. Product catalogue downloads can also be a hook for the first contact. With a download, the store owner already expresses stronger interest, which you can respond to. Of course, you should be a bit more careful, since it is not yet a concrete request. However, you can offer the store to send further information material. Use this email to express your motivation and once again point out your USP.

In terms of the profile clicks, you should be still more careful. Here it concerns only once a first, careful view of your profile. You are welcome to take a look at the stores and consider whether you will see your products there in the future. Keep an eye on your store favorites in case they look at your profile more often.

But: If this is the case, you are welcome to contact them to draw their attention to you. Inform yourself about the store beforehand to create a personal approach. Then you can emphasize that the store caught your eye and that this is exactly what you have in mind for your products. (How to contact a store owner you can find here.)

Always keep an eye on your profile and see what could be improved. You can also find tips on this here.

By the way: since the profile clicks are displayed to you according to the respective dates, you can very quickly determine whether a store has clicked on your profile multiple times (and on different days).

The interactions give you indirect feedback. The point is not for you to actively approach the store owners, but rather to understand how they react to your advertisements.

You should set yourself the goal of constantly increasing this number. The best way to do this is to upload appealing advertisements on a regular basis. If you need some inspiration, you can check out the article in the Help Center.

Learn from your dashboard statistics and use the valuable data knowledge to further optimize your profile page and advertisements.

From almost every number you can get some kind of feedback and draw conclusions. For example, if the interactions are very high, but your profile clicks are missing, you should make your ad more appealing.
