In Falcony it is possible to assess risks for each individual chemical separately or by using a common chemical risk assessment template for multiple/all chemicals. This article helps with the former.

Chemical Risk Assessment are commonly "integrated" as a follow-up section in Falcony for each individual chemical, where you can decide whether the chemical requires risk assessment or not:

In case you answer the question "yes", conditional data fields will appear for the risk assessments.

Here are the information you need to fill in to conduct the risk assessment:

  • Likelihood of inhalation exposure (1-3)

  • Likelihood of skin exposure (1-3)

  • Other hazards arising from the handling of chemicals (πŸ”₯ Fire hazard, πŸ’¦ Splashes, πŸ’₯ Explosion hazard)

    • with likelihood for each

  • Description of the consequences (free-text)

  • Severity of the exposure consequences (1-3)

-> Risk Level (1-5) is then automatically calculated based on the previous data fields.

Environmental Impacts and risks are a separate section in the risk assessment and voluntary. If you decide to fill in them, the questions are:

  • Environmental impact descrption

  • Environmental Impact Frequency (1-6)

  • Environmental Impact Persistence (1-6)

--> Risk Level is automatically calculated based on the answers.

Besides the risk assessment, there are risk measures, you can add as its own section requiring:

  • Urgency of measures

  • Description of measures

And that's it.
