What is Falcony KPIs?

Falcony KPIs is either a standalone product or an add-on to other Falcony Products that can be used for tracking any numeric KPIs.

Falcony = Data collection & Aggregation

Falcony KPIs support KPI tracking with:

  • Manual observation templates (chosen employees input the numbers on a recurring basis)

  • Automation using Falcony's Open Link API

  • excel imports either as a service by Falcony or by Customer's admin users

This way depending on the KPI, you can use any or all of the options above and from any number of source systems (e.g. integrate work hours from HR system and Energy Usage from Maintenance Management System).

Power BI = Data Visualization & Reporting

With our ready-made Power BI report template the KPIs go automatically into a single dashboard to help with KPI tracking, management reporting and insight generation:

How to implement Falcony KPIs?

Falcony KPIs require at the moment our onboarding to set up the relevant data fields for Power BI readable format (more specifically integration meta field needs to have relevant details).

From Customer's perspective, what is needed:

  • Decide 12 KPIs you want to keep track of in a single dashboard

  • Decide the methods for data input for each KPI (manual forms in Falcony, Open Link API, excel import)

  • Wait for Falcony to set them up

  • Get Power BI up and running (either by yourself or with the help from Falcony)

  • Set targets in Power BI for each KPI

Different types of KPIs Falcony support

  • Whole Number & Cumulative

  • Whole Number & Snapshot

  • Numeric (1 or 2 decimals), Cumulative

  • Numeric (1 or 2 decimals), Snapshot

  • Percentage (0, 1 or 2 decimals), snapshot

In addition to above each KPI requires a definition whether you want to increase or decrease the number. This defines whether the KPI goes red vs. green in comparison to the target.

How to get most out of Falcony KPIs

Falcony KPIs work well when used for each specific area of responsibility separately. E.g. you can have one KPI dashboard for safety covering KPIs such as:

  • Total Days lost to injury or illness

  • Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIF)

  • Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIF)

  • Medical Treatment Injury Rate (MTIF)

  • Number of Safety Inspections / Audits Completed

  • Safety Training Completion Rate (%)

  • Number of Toolbox Talks / Safety Meetings Held

  • Safety Reporting Rate

  • Safety Adoption Rate (%)

But then you could have another dashboard for Security and Loss Prevention including other KPIs, for example:

  • Number of Thefts and Shopliftings

  • Losses by Thefts

  • Losses by Damages

  • Gross Loss Value

  • Number of Security Incidents

  • Internal Theft Cases Identified

  • Number of Security Inspections

  • Average Security Inspection Score

  • Percentage of Staff Trained in Loss Prevention Procedures

  • Loss Prevention Training Completion Rate (%)

Power BI functionalities include interactive powerpoint export, making the management reporting even easier.

Costs associated with Falcony KPIs

There are both setup fees and ongoing fees associated to Falcony KPIs, but depending on what you already have in use, not all of them are relevant:

  • One time fees:

    • Falcony KPIs Setup

    • Power BI setup, training and connection (voluntary, can be done without Falcony)

    • Open Link API setup and training (voluntary, can be done without Falcony)

    • Power BI Consulation (if Power BI dashboards require changes - voluntary)

    • KPI consultation (if Customer wants workshops about what KPIs to track, how often, how to set targets for them or how to break strategy down into relevant KPIs - all of these voluntary as well)

  • Ongoing fees:

    • Add-on fee of Falcony KPIs

    • Database connection integration (if already paid, not applicable)

    • Open Link API integration (if already paid, not applicable)

    • Excel Imports as a service (can also be hour by hour based on separate offers)
