The gray economy
Unlawful conduct or unfair competition
Violation of environmental and occupational safety legislation
Violation of data protection law
Violation of product, food and pharmaceutical safety legislation
Interference with the right of workers to organise
Unilateral weakening of work tasks
Violations of other laws or ethical principles.
Setting them up
Go to administration settings and select open links from there.
From the open links page you can see all the active open links in your organization. You may add new open links from the plus sign at the top right corner.
The open link's name is contained in the url for the open link. From the settings you may limit the categories and places the created observations can have. The Whistleblowing check box needs to be activated.
Customising the welcome page
The welcome page can be customised in Open link settings with Markdown. See instructions for Markdown editing here.
How the whistleblowing links work
When a whistleblowing link has been created, you can go to the url created in the Open link name box without being logged in. The url created in the previous step would now be https://app.falcony.io/manufacturingformeetings/links/claim
Observations can be created similarly from this link as how logged in users create them. Differences are that from open links other parts of the application cannot be accessed. Also the side panel is not shown at open links.
When creating observations from the whistleblowing link, the language of the site is determined based on the user's operating system's language settings and the organisation's active translations language. The user is able to change the language to any translations that have been enabled for the organisation.
The system is encrypted and password protected.
Welcoming page looks as below and new observations can be created by pressing Create new observation.
Then the appropriate category needs to be chosen.
The form for reporting looks like this.
After submitting the notification from the Send observation button, the whistleblower will receive an anonymous username and password with which he or she can log in to the service and communicate with whistleblowing notification handlers.
The notices sent in the service are only readable by trustees permitted to handle sensitive data.
