Email notifications are sent from falcony.io based on the settings chosen in the user's profile. There are four different levels to choose from + daily digests and weekly reminders:

Notifications are sent for every new observation that the user has edit rights for, and for every new comment and status change (closed/open) for those observations.

Users who have the right to edit the observation and get notifications about them are marked in the observation as observation participants.

The edit rights are determined when the user's account is set up. Admin users or restricted admin users can update also other users' edit rights by going to the menu Administration -> Users.

The email notification options are the following:

When the setting "Assigned observations, and observations to which user has edit rights and where:" is chosen, the following options appear. The categories and places can then be determined more accurately:

Email notifications can also be turned off by choosing "None".

Note! The user will not be automatically notified of the changes made to their user settings.

Daily digests and and weekly reminders of observations that the user has edit rights for can be set either on or off. These are sent worldwide at 1UTC/4AM Eastern European Summer Time.

The notification email looks like this. Administrators can edit from the question settings whether question answers are shown on the notification email:

Falcony also sends weekly digest notifications.
