Start by opening Settings on your iOS device and selecting General.

Scroll down and tap on Keyboard, then scroll down again and select "Enable Dictation."

You can enable language recognition for all keyboard languages you have in use, but speech-to-text works best if you only have one language recognised at a time.

When you tap to type into any text editable field within Falcony, for instance an observation description, tap on the microphone that appears on the bottom right corner of your keyboard to start speech-to-text dictation.

Anything that you say into your phone will be transcribed into the text field, including punctuation by saying the words "comma" and "period."

This feature is useful when making quick notes on the move, or when it is otherwise inconvenient to type on your phone.
