Formatting the text content of the bulletin

This article provides instructions on how to add the information to the text content, e.g. lists, bold/italicised text and other formatting.

You can format the text content of announcements using Markdown. Below are instructions for the most commonly used formats.

Bolded text

If you want to emphasize a word by making it bold, add two asterisks ** around the word you want to emphasize.

Example:

This is **importan announcement ** for tenants

Once sent it will look like this: This is importan announcement for tenants

Text italics

If you want to italicize text, add an asterisk * or an underscore _ around the word to be italicized.

Example:

This is *importan announcement * for tenants
This is _importan announcement_ for tenants

Once sent it will look like this: This is importan announcement for tenants

Numbered list

To create a numbered list, add a number followed by a period before the 1st word.

Example:

  1. Electricity breakage

  2. Water breakage

  3. Other

Unordered list

To create an unordered list, add an asterisk * OR dash - before the word. You can only use either character in one list.

Example:

-Electricity breakage

*Water breakage

Link

If you want to create a link behind a word, add square brackets [ ] around the word, followed by the desired URL surrounded by curly brackets ( ).

Example:

You will find more instructions from [ here] (https://fi.falcony.io/)

Once sent it will look like this: You will find more instructions from here
