Sometimes you might need to make sure that some data is only stored for a limited time period. Whether it is attachments, answers to a single question or the whole observation, you can determine lifetimes for it in Falcony.

Observation & attachment lifetime

You can set a lifetime for an observation category, or its attachments under the settings of each category:

NOTE: setting the attachment lifetime only affects the attachments that are added directly to the observation, and not the attachments that are added to comments. So if someone writes a comment with an attachment to an observation with this category, the attachment in that comment will not be automatically removed by this feature.

Answer lifetime

You can set all the answers given to a certain question to have a lifetime. This affects the question in all observation categories, where it is being used. This can be done in observation question settings:
