The child has a leaving date set before the break ends.
A child's registered start date is before the break begins
When a Child is on Break
When a break is scheduled for a child, here’s what you’ll see in Famly:
Finance Overview: The Plan column will display On Break.
Child’s Billing Tab: The status will show On break in effect.
During the break, the child won’t be billed for the chosen period, and their expected attendance will automatically be cleared.
💡 Tip: You can still add purchases during the break—like a summer camp or special activity. These purchases will generate billing and, if you're using sessions, will also create expected attendance data.
Children Attending During Breaks
Do you have children that will attend and pay for full weeks during longer breaks (e.g., summer)? Scheduling a break for the entire period would prevent you from adding plans for specific weeks within that period. Instead, we recommend to set up packages or sessions for the specific weeks.
💡 Tip: If children will attend and pay for full weeks during summer, you can set up Packages (e.g. Summer Camp) and create Plans in those specific weeks.
