🔒 Not all settings allow contacts to add, assign, or remove roles on a child's profile. If you're unsure, check with your child's setting

Famly allows you to add additional contacts to your child’s profile, such as grandparents, relatives, or carers. Before adding a new contact, make sure you have their name and email address.

Add a New Contact

To add a contact:

  • Open your child’s profile

  • Go to the Family tab

  • Tap Add contact in the top-right corner

  • Fill in the relevant details for the new contact

  • Choose the login type you want to assign

  • Save your changes

Choose a Login Type for a Contact

When adding a contact, you can choose from three login options.

  • No Login: The contact is added to the child’s profile, but has no access to Famly.

  • Parent Login: The contact has full access to your child’s profile in Famly, including daily updates and other information.

  • Family Login: The contact can view the Newsfeed and can be listed as someone who can collect your child, but they will not have full access to your child’s profile.

To learn more about Family logins, see the article below:

Give a Contact Access Later

You can choose to give a contact access to Famly after they have been added.

To send a login invitation:

  • Open your child’s profile

  • Go to the Family tab

  • Select the contact you want to invite

  • Tap Give login

  • Choose the role you want to assign

  • Tap Send invitation

Remove a Contact’s Login

If you no longer want a contact to have access to Famly, you can remove their login.

To remove a login:

  • Open your child’s profile

  • Go to the Family tab

  • Select the contact whose login you want to remove

  • Tap the Role: Family box

  • Select Remove login

  • Tap Remove login to confirm

💡 Please note, you can only remove logins for contacts with a Family role, not a Parent role

If you need to remove another parent’s login, you will need to contact your child’s setting and ask them to do this for you.
