Using Skills

Skills let you ask Copilot to carry out a specific action, like drafting a post, analysing comments across your platforms, or replying to mentions. Here is how to find and run them.

Skills are actions you can ask your Copilot to run for you. Rather than writing a long request from scratch, you pick a skill and Copilot knows exactly what to do, using the context it already has about your community.

How to use a skill

  1. Open the chat and look for the Skills button next to the message box.

  2. Select a skill from the list, or simply type / in the chat to bring up the skill picker and start typing to filter.

  3. Choose the skill you want, add any extra detail if you like, then send your message.

Copilot runs the skill and returns the result right in the chat, ready for you to review.

Examples of what skills can do

  • X Poll - draft a poll to ask your audience a question, for example "What should I stream tonight?"

  • Cross Platform Analysis - see how engagement is moving across your platforms and when your audience is most responsive.

  • Reply to Instagram Comments - generate on brand replies to the people commenting on your posts.

Unlock more skills

The more accounts you connect on the Integrations page, the more skills become available. If a skill shows as "Configuration needed", it usually means you need to connect the related platform first.

Run skills automatically

You can run specific skills on a schedule. These types of automation are specifically useful when you want the copilot to help you with recurring tasks, such as:

  • Suggesting replies to comments every day

  • Doing an overall sentiment analysis of your engagement on socials on a weekly basis

  • Automate any tasks that you are doing regularly

How to schedule a skill

  1. Go to the Automations page, select New Automation, then choose Scheduled Skill.

  2. Pick the skill you want to run.

  3. Set the frequency and time: hourly, daily or weekly, and the time of day it should run.

  4. Add any custom instructions so Copilot tailors the result to you. For example, if you use a skill to suggest replies to Instagram comments, you can ask the Copilot to: "Keep it simple, use emojis when you want, promote my store if you detect a buying intent".

  5. Select Go live.

Your skill now runs on its own schedule, and the results land in your Activity tab ready for you to review, approve or tweak.
