It is common for water tanks to come in different shapes depending on operation, e.g. horizontal cylindrical or elliptical tank. During and post sensor set-up you can choose from different tank shape options to better calculate your tank's volume or capacity:

  1. Vertical Cylinder

    1. Enter: Diameter & length to calculate volume

  2. Horizontal Cylinder

    1. Enter: Total height (volume can be measured as a % of height)

  3. Horizontal Ellipse

    1. Enter: Height, width & length to calculate volume

  4. Rectangular Prism

    1. Enter: Height and Volume

  5. Miscellaneous Consistent Width

    1. Enter: Height and Volume

Tank shape can be selected from the dropdown menu in the 'General Settings' tab.

Once you've selected your water tank shape ensure you have updated the dimensions of your tank (Height, Width, Length) the Volume and the Offset if required.

Alerts

You can set up water alerts based on cm OR volume (litres) for your water tank. To ensure these trigger correctly please make sure to review them whenever you switch to another tank shape.
