Overview
A key benefit of Farmbot is the ability to monitor your water tanks anytime, anywhere. Once logged in, you're able to assess your water tanks in the main list screen as well as deep-dive into each and review patterns over time.

Mobile View
On mobile, you'll see:
Water Level Trend

Most Recent Alert Notification
Monitor Status
Trend Column
In the list screen, the arrow icon indicates your water level trend.
Current Water Level (cm) & Capacity (%) Column
Water level and capacity percentage columns show the current forecasted levels transmitted by the Farmbot monitor. Water level and capacity are calculated based on all previous data points, trend predictions and give a more real-time view into your water tank behaviour.
Current Volume (L) Column
If you have entered the total volume of your tank, you will see the current volume. If you are seeing a dash instead, you will need to add the tank's total volume in your water tank settings. See how to edit your water tank details here.
Alert Column
The most recent alert notification triggered for your water tank will appear in this column as a badge indicating the alert level/severity. For example, you will see a badge based on the alert type set off:
Info
Warning
Critical
This gives you a quick way to see and assess recent alerts for your water tanks so that you can act accordingly.
Monitor Status Column
This column will contain the word “Delay” if something has impacted the data transmission or some part of the system is not operational.
At this point, the values shown are based on the last data received and could be out of date. If you see "Delay" in this column, an inspection of your tank and monitor may be required.
Water Tank Graph and Tables
Once, you click into a particular water tank, you will be able to see a detailed view of the tank's behaviour over time.
List view of all the data packets
In the top right-hand corner of the graph, you will see a list icon. When you click on the icon, it will show you a list of all the data packets received for your water level sensor.
Changing date range
You can also adjust your graph timeframe by selecting the date dropdown. This varies depending on the graph type.
Check out your historical graph data
To click between different date ranges and view your water tank trends over time, click on the date arrows in the top left-hand corner of your graph.
For a more granular breakdown of the graph and timelines, hover your mouse over the graph for the exact date, time and water level.
Check out the projected Water Level
You will notice that the graph changes from a solid line to a dotted line as you get closer to the present. The dotted line shows your projected water level calculated based on water trend and behaviours for a more accurate, close to real-time display of your water.
Change your graph preferences
Click on the Settings icon in the top right corner of your water level graph to change your chart settings. You can choose between centimetre (cm), litres (L) or percentage (%).
