If your rain gauge is not recording rainfall correctly or is not recording at all the first step will be to reset your monitor and clean out your rain gauge.

Some important things to remember when looking at your rain gauge;
● Is it located within 2 metres of the monitor?
● Is it secured well, on a flat surface, using at least 4 screws and free from any vibration?

The next steps will be to reset and clean your rain gauge, please see steps on how to do this below;
1. Turn the Farmbot monitor off

2. Check that the rain gauge cable is connected properly, is only plugged-in ports 1-4 (NOT 5) and there is no damage to the cable
3. Do a thorough check and clean inside the rain gauge - See Rain Gauge Maintenance Guide
4. Ensure the blue tape holding the tipper in place for transit has been removed
5. Turn the monitor back on, wait 1 minute
6. Physically pour water through the RG or manually tip the tipper 3-6 times

Please allow a couple of hours for the monitor and rain gauge to come back online.
Then check your dashboard to see if the rain gauge has recorded the water poured in.

If it does not come online or record the water, please reach out to Customer Service on 02 9901 4798 or service@farmbot.com.au
