Overview

The Pump Operating Time is a window of time the pump will automatically turn on. Once this is enabled, the pump will not run outside of this period.

You may want to set a Pump Operating Time:

  1. From 10 pm and 7am so it only runs during off-peak electricity

  2. From 8 pm and 4 pm each day so the solar pump is only running during the day

The Pump Operating Time is still based on the tank's level. I.e. the pump will not turn on during that time if the 'Start' criteria for Source and/or Destination tank is not met.

⚠️ Note: the Pump Operating Period is not a timer. Farmbot's Pump Control is designed to turn the pump on precisely as the tank needs it rather than running for an arbitrary amount of time.

How to set up a Pump Operating Time

You can now set a schedule to run once a day by setting a 'Start Time' and 'Stop Time' as shown below. Please note first a tank must be selected, automation enabled and Start/Stop water levels set before the Pump Operating Time will be made available for editing.

Alternatively you can still reach out to Customer Support on service@farmbot.com.au or 02 9901 4798 and the team can configure this for you on your behalf immediately.
