Overview

The Farmbot Monitor is designed with an energy-saving feature known as Hibernation mode. This mode activates when the solar battery experiences significant depletion due to factors like cold weather or insufficient charging.

What happens in Hibernation mode?

  • The Monitor becomes inactive to save battery power.

  • It will not transmit any readings during this period.

  • The Monitor will only become active again once the battery has sufficiently recharged.

Why does this happen?

This feature ensures that your Farmbot Monitor remains functional during winter or when its battery is too weak to perform standard operations.

Duration of Hibernation

  • The Monitor can be in hibernation for a maximum of 4 weeks.

  • A notification will be sent after 2 weeks to inform you that the Monitor is still in hibernation.

  • Another notification will be sent after 4 weeks if the Monitor returns to its active state.

  • If the Monitor remains inactive after 4 weeks, the battery may have completely drained and might require technical assistance.
