How to Label a Transaction as a Transfer

When you have a linked bank account, you may need to mark a transaction as a transfer.

Why might you have to mark a transaction as a transfer?
1. This may happen when you have multiple accounts linked to your Tracks app. Such as a credit card and your checking account. When you pay the credit card bill from your checking account, you can then mark one of them as a transfer. It will then not count the transaction twice.

2. It may also happen when you enter an unpaid invoice into your account and then when the payment comes into your bank account. To make sure it doesn’t count the transaction twice, you can mark the bank account transaction as a transfer while still keeping all the information you want about the invoice.

To mark it as a transfer:
1. You will first head into the Tracks app, head to accounts, and open the account the transaction is in.

2. You will find the transaction and open it. You will then press the “edit” button.

3. There you can scroll down to the “This is a Transfer” button. It should turn green when it is toggled on.

4. Make sure to press “save” at the bottom.
