After you have synchronised a number of Stock Take events from the mobile app, there are two ways to produce a report on the main FarmWizard website.

1 The Stock Take Report

  1. Go to Reports > QA Reporting > Design Report

  2. Select the required date range (if you have performed a whole-herd stock take, the may have taken a few days to complete it).

  3. Click the "Stock Take Results" button to generate the report to screen

The report will show the number of animals recorded on specific dates with the selected range.

If you want to print or perform further work on the data, the best option is to copy/paste into a spreadsheet program like Excel.  To do this click and hold down your left mouse button at the top-left of the report grid, and then drag downwards and to the right so that all the columns and rows are highlighted.

With the data highlighted, right-mouse click over the grid and select "Copy" from the pop-up menu.

Now go to your spreadsheet program and use the "Paste Special" command and then select (paste as) "Text"

The data will be added to the spreadsheet in the correct columns and rows.

2 Generating a Note Report

The option is useful if you want a filtered report, for example, to only include stock take events with a particular piece of note text.

Once you have synchronised the Stock Take events, login to the main website and proceed as follows:

  1. Go to Reports > Fertility Rule Reports > Event Reports

  2. Select the required date range at the top of the screen

  3. If you want to filter for a particular piece of note text, enter it in the "Note Text" box.  If required, you can also select a Group or a specific animal identity

  4. Click "Note Report" to generate the report to screen. The stock take notes are identified as "StockTake" in the Life Cycle Event column.

  5. Use the button options at the top of the report screen to download the report to PDF for printing, or to Excel CSV if you wish to perform further work with the data.
