Mastitis Cases

A mastitis "case" in FarmWizard is defined as a treatment period of 7 days. You can view mastitis cases in two ways:

Total number of mastitis cases between two dates

Go to Reports > Statistics > Year Round

Set the Start and End dates as required (the default is for the previous 12 months)

Click the button "View Mastitis Events"

The report will count the unique number of cases in the Notes column, with one row per case; thus one animal may have multiple rows in the report.

The number of animals with at least one case or a specified number of cases

Go to Reports > Fertility Reports > Fertility Rule Reports

Select the required Start and End dates (defaults to the previous 12 months)

To select all animals with at least one case, select "More Than" from the Mastitis Cases drop-down and enter "0" in the text box.

To select animals with a specific number of cases, select "Equal To" from the drop-down and enter the required number in the text box.

Click the button "Show Columns to Select" to customise the report columns. To show the number of cases for each animal, tick the "Mastitis" column.

To run the report, click the button "Create Rule Based Decision Report"

If you need to email or upload the report to a farm assurance website, click the button "Create Excel CSV" to download a spreadsheet file, or select the PDF option.

Lameness Cases

Go to Reports > Fertility Reports > Fertility Rule Reports

Follow the above steps as for Mastitis cases, but using the Lameness Cases options

The report can also be downloaded to Excel CSV or PDF

Culling Reasons

To view a report of Culling Reasons, go to Reports > Statistics > Year Round.

Select the required Start and End dates (defaults to the previous 12 months).

Click the button "View Culled Reasons" to run the report

When run, the report can be downloaded to Excel CSV or PDF

Stillbirths

To report stillbirths in the herd, go to Reports > Fertility Reports > Event Reports.

Set the required Start and End dates (defaults to the previous 12 months)

Scroll down to the Note Report section and enter "Stillborn" (all one word, no space)

Click the button "Note Report" to run the report

The resulting report can be downloaded to Excel CSV or PDF

Mortality

To report on calf mortality, go to Reports > Rule Reports > Animals

Tick the required report column options, but we recommend that you include the following:

National ID, Sex, DOB, Dam, Date of Death, Days

Select "Dead" from the State drop-down

If you only want to include calves entering the herd over a specific time period, e.g. the previous 12 months, enter a "from" and "to" date range using the Date Joined date-pickers (this will include calves born in the herd as well as any purchased).

To run the report, click the button "List animals matching rule".

The Age (days) column will show the age at the date of death.

The report can be downloaded to Excel CSV or PDF.

Animal Movements into the Herd

To report movements into the herd, included calves born (inlcuded Live, Sold and Dead) and any purchased animals, go to Reports > QA Reporting > Design Report.

Set the required date range using the From and Date date-pickers (defaults to previous 12 months).

Click the button "Moves In"

Once generated, the report can be downloaded to Excel CSV file or PDF using the buttons at the top of the page.
