How to Change or Cancel a Hotel Reservation

Need to change dates for your hotel or cancel altogether? Melon makes it easy to modify your booking in just a few clicks.


To cancel an existing hotel reservation:

1. Login to your Melon account to access the New Trip Search page.
2. Scroll down to the bottom of your search page to see Upcoming Trips, or select My Trips in the top menu of the site.

3. Select the trip you wish to modify or cancel.

4. Click on the hotel segment you wish to modify or cancel.

5. From the Trip Details page, click the Cancel Hotel button on the right side of your hotel reservation.

Note: Any Cancellation Deadlines will appear in the reservation description on this page.

6. The Hotel reservation will now show as CANCELLED on the page if other segments (such as flights or vehicles) were booked, and will remain in your trip as cancelled for your records.

To change an existing hotel reservation:

1. Follow steps 1-4 shown above to locate the hotel reservation you wish to change.

2. Melon gives you two options on how to change an existing hotel reservation...

  • If you know the hotel's cancellation policy and haven't passed the cancellation deadline, choose Cancel Hotel for your current reservation. Afterward, select Add Another Hotel to create your new reservation.

  • If you're unsure about the hotel's cancellation policy or have missed the cancellation deadline, choose Modify Hotel and a chat box will open for assistance from the Melon Chat Team to change your reservation
