How to Cancel a Flight

We understand that plans can change for our travelers, so Melon has made it easy to cancel flights directly from your account.

To cancel a flight:

  1. Login to your Melon account.

  2. Select the My Trips tab at the top of the page, or select your trip from Upcoming Trips on the search page.

3. Under your Upcoming Trips, select the trip you wish to cancel your flight for.

4. In your Trip Details, click on the flight you wish to cancel.

5. Once you have selected the flight, the option to CANCEL FLIGHT will appear top right. You must be sure to select YES, CONFIRM CANCELLATION once the popup appears asking you to confirm your selection.

6. Your flight will now show as canceled in your Trip Library and you will receive an updated itinerary via email.

TIP: Once canceled, your trip will still be visible under My Trips for you to review or modify as needed.

Important: Bookings made in the US on major air carriers can be canceled within 24 hours for a full refund if you did not request a Credit to be applied. Bookings on basic economy class or on low-cost carriers like Spirit or Frontier, do not have this free cancellation window.
