How To Use The Calculator Section

The Calculator Section in BuyBotPro is where sellers input price information and fine tune the settings for analysis to be made.

The Retail/Wholesale toggle is only for sellers in marketplaces that have VAT considerations to make.

Sellers inputting a purchase price without VAT (it is common practice for wholesalers to quote prices without VAT) will need to toggle it to Wholesale. For most sellers, who are purchasing from main retailers, it can be toggled to Retail.

BuyBotPro will display the price inclusive of VAT if Wholesale is selected.

Click on Convert from EUR to GBP if purchasing in Euros, but a GBP price is required. The AI in BuyBotPro will use data from dozens of financial institutions to recalculate an up-to-date exchange rate every hour.

In the Buy Price entry box, there is a calculator icon which opens a Buy Price VAT% Override option. This is for when the VAT rate is different from the one entered in the Settings.

The Sell Price will auto-populate as dictated in the Settings:

In the Advanced section, choose from the drop down which Sell Price is to be auto populated in the Calculator section. Choices include:

  • The Low FBA

  • Current Buy Box

  • Low FBA 90 Day Average

  • 90 Day Average of the low price for New items only

  • Buy Box 90 Day Average

The VAT rate for the Sell Price can be overridden in the Calculator feature. It can only be overridden if the seller has set their business as one of the VAT registered options in the Settings.

Entering the quantity to be purchased in the Quantity box will amend the results to show the total of the input number of items.

Toggling EFN-UK on will include the additional fees incurred for UK sellers when selling the analysed product into EU marketplaces through the EFN-UK program. This option will show as EFN-EU or PAN depending the European Marketplace option selected in Settings.

The MF toggle will remove any FBA fees from the calculation. This is for sellers manually fulfilling orders, though any associated costs will need to be accounted for in the Settings for the most accurate results.

Toggling on MF will reveal four price boxes where Merchant Fulfilled sellers can add in the costs they incur for fulfilling an item. Three of these can be pre-set amounts and the fourth is customisable.

Selecting any of these will add that figure onto the fees, on top of those already entered into the Settings.

To program the three pre-set MF cost boxes, find them in the Advanced section of BuyBotPro Settings and enter the figures. Once entered, click Save & Sync at the bottom and they will appear in the MF cost boxes when it is toggled on.

The final option in the Calculator section is for products that are being analysed with a view to being part of a bundle.

In the Settings, sellers should enter the additional costs from a prep centre or materials used to prepare bundled items.

The Analyze button at the bottom of the Calculator is where the magic happens. Once all the Buy and Sell Price information is entered and correct, simply click it to generate deal analysis results.

Changing the Buy Price or Sell Price - or any of the toggles or data input into the Calculator - will automatically adjust the results, without requiring it to be clicked again.

As with all sections in the BuyBotPro panel, the Calculator feature can be hidden or moved anywhere in the panel with the Section Customizer, or minimised with the arrow in the section title box.
