One of the eligibility factors shown in the Dashboard is the Dangerous Goods indicator. All the eligibility criteria in the Dashboard, including Dangerous Goods, are populated automatically when an Amazon listing is opened and BuyBotPro is activated.
Sellers need to be logged into their Amazon Seller account for BuyBotPro to ascertain their status.
The colour – using our familiar traffic light system – of the indicator notifies the user if an ASIN is considered Dangerous Goods by Amazon:
Green; the ASIN is not a Dangerous Goods product
Amber; the product is considered Dangerous Goods, but can be shipped to fulfilment centres if the seller is enrolled in Amazon’s Dangerous Goods Program
Red; the product is Dangerous Goods. It cannot be shipped to or sold from fulfilment centres
Applying to the Dangerous Goods Program can be done in Seller Central and there is usually a waitlist to join while applications are being considered.
Once enrolled in the Dangerous Goods Program, sellers will be permitted to ship affected products into Amazon fulfilment centres and BuyBotPro will reflect this.
It is important, if you are enrolled in the Dangerous Goods Program (DGP), that the toggle in Settings is switched to ON to ensure BuyBotPro analysis is accurate.
When this is activated the Can I Sell This? indicator will show as green, but the Dangerous Goods dot will still show as amber if the product being analysed is classified as such. This is so the seller is aware that it is a Dangerous Goods product, even if it won’t affect their ability to sell it.
Amazon have designated fulfilment centres for Dangerous Goods and Hazmat products so, when building a shipment, it is likely a seller will be prompted to ship them separately.
As with all features on the BuyBotPro panel, hovering over the name of the feature or the result indicator a popup will show with more detail.
The Dangerous Goods Program is well worth applying to and BuyBotPro’s feature will assist in determining the status of any product.
