BuyBotPro have multiple options allowing users to fine tune their tax obligations when undertaking deal analysis, and get the most accurate results possible for them.

First to set in the Settings – under the Basic section – is the tax status of the business. Choose the appropriate one from the Tax/VAT Settings dropdown. The selection here will have an impact on the ROI and profit results, and the correct choice will make your deal results more reflective of final accounting.

In the Advanced section in Settings there are four further VAT settings to consider for marketplaces that are subject to VAT.

The Buy Price VAT toggle will be most useful for sellers who adopt the Wholesale model of reselling on Amazon. Purchasing from retail stores will mean sellers are likely to pay VAT on their purchases, however those who use Wholesalers may well be claiming VAT back after the fact.

Toggling on Wholesale will remove VAT from the Buy Price in the analysis calculation.

Where applicable for the listing – BuyBotPro will automatically activate this when it is – the Grocery VAT toggle will allow users to choose between Standard Accounting VAT or a 0% VAT rate.

The Referral Fee VAT Ex. toggle is for sellers who are exempt from paying VAT on Referral Fees. Users should toggle this on if they have been accepted into Amazon’s Referral Fee VAT Exemption program.

Similarly, the FBA Fees VAT Ex. toggle can be switched on by sellers granted access to the Amazon FBA Fees VAT Exemption scheme.

BuyBotPro will remove VAT from the applicable fee when calculating the analysis when these are toggled on.

Finally, in the Calculator section of the main BuyBotPro panel there is a VAT % Override box. This is for sellers who need to override their default VAT setting on any given listing.

Simply enter the new VAT rate and click on Analyze.

To use this function, sellers will need to be set up as a VAT registered business in the Settings.
