There were tools available, but they required significant input from users to formulate anything resembling an accurate result.
Back in the day – though not really so long ago – it was practically impossible to analyse an Online Arbitrage deal properly. At least not without hiring some help.
Matt Webley, one of the co-founders of BuyBotPro, was well into his Online Arbitrage journey by the time he hired Becky George to help him scale it more efficiently. She was brought in to help source for - and grow - the Amazon business he had built.
What nagged at him was that, while it was fine for him to be able to hire in help - he’d had success to this point - what about smaller sellers, or new sellers? What about the sellers who were side-hustling and had jobs and families and limited time to source….
….what did they do?
Matt started musing….
….“why not create a software tool that gives sellers basic information they can then analyse….in fact, why not create some software that analyses the deal for you and tells you everything you need to know?”
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Karen Hutson, who has run businesses in and around ecommerce for many years, joined forces with Matt to create what became BuyBotPro. That said, it very nearly wasn’t called BuyBotPro at all….
….Becky’s influence on the success Matt was having with Amazon at that point meant it was very nearly monikered BeckyBot!
It was, after all, going to do all the stuff she was doing on a day-to-day basis.
She was less keen, so BuyBotPro was born. What it would provide meant that there would be no requirement to pay, train, manage, arrange holiday time, breaks or other benefits any human employee would require….
….though Matt still kept Becky on of course!
Unlike most humans, it would also NEVER miss any details….however tired it was.
Every deal would be analysed perfectly, every time using advanced algorithms to save time and money, and generate more profit.
And that’s exactly what it became, and continues to be today.
