What Is Sleep Mode?

Profit Protector Pro includes a sleep function which automates switching off any repricing activity for a selected period.

To set up Sleep Mode, select the Account tab on the bottom left and find it at the bottom of the PPP Settings.

When turned on, Sleep Mode will raise the price of listings to either the price the seller has set in Seller Central or to the Max Price set in Profit Protector Pro.

The purpose of this price rise is to encourage competitors who are also using a repricer to raise their prices, with repricing then restarting at a higher price when Sleep Mode is disabled.

For most sellers, overnight, i.e. 1am to 5am, will likely have the least impact on sales.

Select the times to stop and restart repricing using the dropdowns in the Sleep Mode section.

If not choosing to Reset To Max Price during sleep, ensure the price for all listings have prices above the Buy Box or low price in Seller Central.

Some sellers prefer not to activate Sleep Mode for listings that hold the Buy Box. To keep repricing SKUs that hold the Buy Box whilst Sleep Mode is active, toggle the Include Buy Box Winners option to Off.

Before using the Sleep Mode feature, ensure the correct time zone is selected so it turns on and off at the time expected. The setting for this is in the My Amazon Accounts section of the Account tab.

NOTE: Sleep Mode acts for all active listings so ensure the Max Price is not likely to attract attention from Amazon and the Fair Pricing Policy.
