Profit Protector Pro’s repricing works by it telling Amazon what price to set for the inventory a user has for a listing on the seller’s behalf. It will override MOST prices set by other parties, i.e. the seller’s manual pricing or Amazon’s repricer.
To avoid Amazon setting prices for listings, go to Automate Pricing in Seller Central and make sure no listings are turned on for its repricing.
Amazon’s Automated Pricing may at times interfere with Profit Protector Pro’s pricing, so turning it off on all listings will prevent this occurring. It is also weighted toward getting Amazon’s customer’s the best prices, not necessarily the sellers.
If a product does sell at a price lower than the minimum price set in Profit Protector Pro, first check that Amazon haven’t put the item on sale. Often Amazon will pick ASINs to go on sale and then reimburse the price difference themselves.
When this isn’t the case review the buyer details of the sale. Buyers from a different country from the marketplace the item is sold from may be doing so from one with a different tax status.
If a seller registered for VAT sells to buyer in a non-VAT country, then the selling price will be lower as VAT will be removed from the selling price by Amazon. A common example of this is when UK sellers make sales to customers in Ireland.
Whilst in most examples sellers may want to make their products available to as many customers as possible, there is an option to turn off shipping to countries outside of an active marketplace. For new sellers this is turned on by default so it will need to be manually changed if it is not required.
In the Settings in Seller Central, select Fulfilment by Amazon and scroll down to Shipping programs and export settings.
Choose the marketplace in which to edit the export option and disable it in the Shipping Program section.
If sales appear to be made below the set minimum price and these conditions are in order, don’t hesitate to contact the support team at info@profitprotectorpro.com.
