The Cost Of Goods section in Settings allows the setting up of blanket costs to be applied to listings, but there will be times when costs for existing inventory need changing, perhaps specific to supplier, category or even item-specific.

This can be done individually in the Inventory tab, but some sellers – especially those holding a high number of SKUs – might find it simpler and quicker to bulk edit Costs of Goods.

Existing inventory can be exported as .csv or .xlsx files to then be edited in a spreadsheet.

In the Inventory screen, click on Export and choose whether to include inactive or out of stock items, or inventory currently missing any costs. Choose the file type and SKUify will download the file.

The file will be formatted to include all the required columns so avoid changing the column titles and order, but use the columns to sort data and change/enter cell data as required.

To import the file into SKUify when the cost of goods are ready, save the file and upload it back to SKUify using the Import button. SKUify will overwrite the existing data with that from the new file.

This import method can also be used to upload new inventory with all the cost of goods in place. T create a sheet to do this simply export any inventory and clear the inventory and cost of goods data content in the spreadsheet. Enter all the details from the listings to be added, save the file and import it into the Inventory in the same way.
